The SEEKER project by Angelo Vermeulen turns a mars-simulation mission into a collaborative art project. The 5th edition of this simulation mission took place at the GogBot festival in Enschede, 10-14 September 2014. The PIRATE robot was used by the mission crew to inspect a short stretch of an ‘oxygen supply line’ – a transparent PVC tube – mounted on the underside of the vehicle. Images taken by the robot’s front camera were transmitted back into the space-ship.
